New York Bald Eagles

These photos were taken near Bear Mountain in New York; bald eagles return there every winter and can reliably be seen from certain viewpoints. It's still amazing to me these birds exist so close to New York City - it's about 47 miles (per mapquest.com) from Grand Central Station to Bear Mountain; you can even see the NYC skyline from certain viewpoints on the mountain.
