1. Rock and/or Roll

YR15 (Yep Roc Records 15th Anniversary Show with Nick Lowe, Robyn Hitchcock, Los Straitjackets, Dave Alvin, Chuck Prophet, etc.)

Yep Roc Records threw itself a well-deserved 15th anniversary party with 3 nights of concerts at Cat's Cradle in Carrboro, NC. These are from the first night's show on October 11, 2012. I couldn't attend the other 2 nights. Have to mention that the sound and lighting was great at the Cat's Cradle - awesome place to see a show - and the show moved along in amazingly efficient manner given the number of performers. Congrats to Yep Roc on a great show and 15 years of great music.

Nick Lowe's masterful lyrics, personal charm and humor shone throughout his set.
Nick Lowe having as much fun as the audience (and we were having a lot of fun). And he played "I Knew the Bride (When She Used to Rock 'n' Roll)" which made everybody very happy. It would have been great seeing him plug in with a full band, but he's such an appealing performer and his songs so good that it didn't matter. (And the same went for the night's other singer/songwriter/guitarists.)
The volume cranked up when Los Straitjackets (Eddie Angel pictured) took the stage for a short set of instrumental gems before bringing earlier performers back onstage to sing with them.
